F!ux is a reading app that shows a shared pool of publicly available articles (RSS/Atom feeds and newsletters). This policy explains what F!ux does — and mostly does not — do with your data. It is written to be honest and short, because F!ux collects very little.
F!ux has no user accounts. You do not create a profile, and you are not asked for your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifier to use the app.
Everything about you — which articles you have read, passed, or saved, the folders you create, and the sources you mute or mark as important — is stored only in a local database on your device. It is never sent to our servers and never leaves your phone unless you back it up through your own device backup (e.g. iCloud), which is under your control, not ours.
F!ux connects to a server that stores a shared, public pool of articles gathered from RSS feeds and newsletters. This content is the same for every user and contains no personal information about you. When the app requests articles, the request is anonymous — it carries no account, user ID, or device identifier.
Like any internet service, our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) may process standard technical connection data such as your IP address to deliver responses and protect the service from abuse. We do not use this data to identify or track you, and we do not build user profiles.
F!ux contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share any data with advertisers or data brokers, because we do not collect it in the first place.
The optional paid subscription is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). Payment is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we never receive or store your payment details. Your subscription status is validated on your device — we do not keep a server-side record tied to you.
Some sources are newsletters ingested at addresses on the
flux.corentin-mey.com domain. Any newsletter received this way is
added to the shared public pool as article content. Do not forward private or
personal email to these addresses — anything sent there becomes part of the
shared content visible to all users.
F!ux is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
